Fear of the dentist

To right before going to the dentist? About 30% of the population say they feel apprehensive before going to the dentist. Traumatic experiences during childhood sometimes lead to this phobia that can manifest itself in the chair.

At the Team Swiss Dental Clinic, we do everything we can to make you feel comfortable. Here are some tips that will make your visits more enjoyable.

  • We (dentist and hygienist) are always close to you during treatments. If you share your concerns with us, we will take more precautions to help you relax.
  • To calm you down, you can listen to music during your treatments. This will distract you and prevent you from hearing the sounds that some of the tools used make. Bring your headphones and the music you like best.
  • If you are afraid of the unknown, you can ask your dentist to explain the details of the treatment to be done and the expected duration of the treatment. Knowing when it starts is one thing, but knowing when it will end is also reassuring.
  • Agree a gesture to let your dentist know that you want to take a short break.

Dental Team Swiss will do everything to help you control your fear. We are understanding and patient.
