Dental facet

A facet is a porcelain shield that is placed in front of your tooth so as to embellish it, the facet is adapted to the shape of your tooth is glued using a very powerful cement/glue. The life of a facet is 10 years depending on the person and the maintenance.

The facets are thin ceramic shells that cover the front of the teeth. They can provide a limited correction in the shape, size and colour of the front teeth, but they are less resistant than the crowns and can only be used in certain cases (non-redevitalized teeth, almost correct axial positioning, …). They require mild intervention.

  • To rectify a slight misalignment of the real teeth in the case of diastemas for example an unsightly spacing that is generally treated by orthodontics. The dental facets can be placed in such a way as to hide the gap and thus to correct the alignment of the teeth.
